This immigration category closed on 26 November 2008. You may be eligible to apply under one of two new categories depending on the type of work you will be doing. For both categories you will need to be sponsored by your potential employer.

If you are coming to the United Kingdom for a maximum of 24 months to undertake short-term, temporary work you may be able to apply under the new religious workers category. You will not be able to apply under this category if you will be involved in preaching or pastoral work.

If you want to come to the United Kingdom for more than 24 months or will be involved in preaching or pastoral work you will need to apply under the new ministers of religion category.
