Applying from inside the UK

This page explains how to apply from inside the UK as a Turkish ECAA businessperson.

If you want to apply for permission to switch, extend your stay or settle in the UK as a Turkkish businessperson, you should use application form ECAA 2 Turkish Businessperson. You can find this form on the right side of this page.

There is no fee for making this application.

You must apply before your current permission to stay in the UK expires.

However, if you are applying for settlement, you must not send us your application more than 28 days before the end of your 4-year qualifying period. If you do, we may refuse your application.

You can apply for permission for your dependants to remain in the UK with you, by listing them on your form. Alternatively, they can apply separately using application form ECAA 3. The Dependants section lists the requirements that your dependants must meet, and contains the ECAA 3 form.

There is no fee for making this application. However, you must make your application before your current permission to stay in the UK expires.

You should post your application to us. You cannot make your application in person at our public enquiry offices. Please send the completed application form, with your supporting documents, to:

During the time when we have your passport and are processing your application, we advise you not make any non-urgent travel plans. As part of your application process, you and your dependents will be required to enrol your biometrics. If your application is successful you will be issued with a biometric residence permit.

If you make an application before your authorised stay ends, your existing immigration status will continue until your application is decided, even if the decision is not made until after the end of your permitted stay. You can continue to work until your case is decided if the conditions of your existing leave allows you to do so.
