Photograph and passport
This page describes the photograph and passport that you must send to support your application under Tier 5 (Youth mobility scheme) of the UK's points-based system.
You must send 1 recent passport photograph of yourself, with your name written on the back.
The photograph should:
- measure 45mm x 35mm; and
- be in colour; and
- be taken against a white background; and
- be clear and of good quality; and
- not be framed or backed; and
- not be digitally altered - for example, you cannot use Photoshop to change anything in the image; and
- be full face, without sunglasses, hat or head covering unless you wear this for religious reasons.
The photograph will be used on your visa (also known as a 'vignette'), which will be fixed in your passport.
You must send your original passport or travel document. We will use it to confirm that you score 30 points for your nationality and 10 points for your age.
