Making a Tier 2 Priority application

This page explains how you should apply for permission to remain in the UK under Tier 2 of the points-based system using the Priority application form.

You should only use this form once accepted for participation in the pilot. See the Tier 2 Priority (pilot) page for information on how to request to make a priority application.

When should you apply?

You should apply as soon as you have been notified of your acceptance into the pilot and submit your application form(s) and supporting documents within 24 hours. Once you have submitted your application, we aim to reach a decision within 10 working days.

Which form should I use?

For inclusion in the priority pilot, you and any dependants you have must apply using the Tier 2 Priority application forms on the right side of this page.

How to apply

As part of your application, you will need to enrol your fingerprints and facial image (known as 'biometric information') in order to obtain a biometric residence permit. The Biometric information page explains how to do this. For priority applications, we ask that you enrol biometric information within 2 days of your biometric notification letter.

You must send your application form and supporting documents by post or courier to the address on the cover sheet. Documents sent by courier must arrive during normal business hours (08:30 to 16:30, Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays), or receipt cannot be guaranteed.

Any further evidence submitted after the initial application should be sent as soon as possible to the following address;

This will enable us to link the documentation to the application quickly and to help us consider your application as swiftly as possible. Special next day delivery is advised.

Please do not send any additional evidence in support of your application to the payment processing centre, as this will cause delays to the processing of your application and could lead to it falling outside of the published service level agreement.

If you are making any applications for your family members ('dependants') to stay in the UK at the same time as your own application you should send all the applications together in the same envelope. We will then consider your dependants' applications at the lower application fee. If a dependant's application is sent later than or separately from your application, it will be considered in its own right and will be subject to the full application fee.
