Documents required

This page explains the documents that you will need to provide when you apply to extend your stay in the UK if you are currently in the UK as a domestic worker in a private household and applied on or before 5 April 2012 for your visa to come to the UK under that category.

When you apply to extend your stay, you will need to provide:

  • a letter from your employer confirming that they want to continue employing you; and
  • a statement of your terms and conditions of employment, which must say that that your employer will comply with UK law on the national minimum wage.

You should send these documents with your application. For more information, see the Extending your stay page.
