New payment method for premium appointments in Glasgow and Cardiff
18 July 2011
From Monday 25 July, we are changing the payment arrangements for customers using our premium same-day at Glasgow and Cardiff public enquiry offices. There will no longer be cashiers to receive in those locations.
If you are attending an appointment in Glasgow or Cardiff, there will be 3 ways that you can pay your application fee.
Payment in person by credit or debit card
You will still be able to pay your application fee on the day of your appointment, if you use a credit or debit card. You should complete the 'Payment details' section of your application form, including the card details, and provide this when you arrive at the public enquiry office. Your payment will be processed remotely, and a copy of the payment acknowledgement letter (including a unique payment reference number) will be faxed to the public enquiry office to confirm payment.
Postal payment in advance
Alternatively, you can pay your application fee in advance by post, using a banker's draft, postal order, debit card or credit card. You cannot pay by cash.
We advise you to send your payment by post at least 6 working days before your appointment. This will ensure that we have time to receive and process your payment, and to send you an acknowledgement letter confirming payment and containing a unique payment reference number, before your appointment. You must bring this letter when you attend your appointment.
You must include a payment form with your postal payment. You can download the relevant payment form for your application type from the right side of this page. If you are applying under the point-based system with your dependants, you should download, complete and send both application forms.
You should send the form(s) and your pplication fee(s) to the address shown on the forms.
Please do not send your application form and supporting documents with your payment. You should bring these with you to your appointment, with your payment acknowledgement letter.
Online payment - some application types only
If you are using form SET(O), SET(M), FLR(O), FLR(M) or NTL to make your application, you can also choose to pay for and prepare your application online. You will need to make your online payment at least 48 hours before your appointment.
When you have made your payment, we will email you an electronic receipt which includes a unique payment reference number. You will need to bring this to your appointment as proof of payment, with the printout of your online application form and your supporting documents.
You can make and pay for your application online by following the link on the right side of this page.
Changing or cancelling your appointment
If you have paid your application fee in advance (online or by post) and you need to reschedule your appointment, please contact our immigration enquiry bureau (see right).
If you cannot proceed with your premium service appointment at all after you have paid, you will need to contact the immigration enquiry bureau to arrange a refund. It can take up to 4 weeks for premium service refunds to be made.
