WRK2 - Work: entry for non - points-based system employment
This is internal guidance for use by entry clearance staff on the handling of non-PBS employment visa applications made outside the United Kingdom (UK). It is a live document under constant review and is for information only.
Entry for non - points-based system employment
Certain categories of employment are outside the points-based system (PBS). The main difference between these categories and PBS routes is that the employer may not have an established UK presence, may not be based permanently in the UK or may be a private individual. In the case of UK Ancestry, the right to work is 'inherited' from a UK-born grandparent, rather than work being based on an offer from a sponsor / employer.
