This page explains what you should do if your immigration status in the United Kingdom changes in any way, after having enrolled on the iris recognition immigration system (IRIS).
Your immigration status in the United Kingdom determines your ability to enter or stay in the United Kingdom. If you wish to continue to enter the United Kingdom using the automated Iris system, you must advise the UK Border Agency of any changes in your circumstances - which are different to the details recorded on the Iris database, when you originally registered for the scheme.
Changes to your immigration status may include:-
If your Iris registration details have changed, the only way your record can be amended to reflect the change(s) is for you to personally visit one of the Iris enrolment rooms. All Iris enrolment rooms are located in the airside international departures area of participating airports. Attendance at one of the designated enrolment rooms, will enable UK Border Agency enrolment staff to access and review your Iris record. This will be done by identifying your Iris pattern on the database. You should not use the Iris barrier to enter the United Kingdom until your Iris record has been amended.
Details of where the Iris enrolment rooms are located and their opening times, can be found on the where can I register for Iris page.
