Leisure craft

This page explains how we will communicate about e-Borders with the owners and operators of leisure craft that make international journeys, and when we plan to implement the e-Borders programme in the leisure boating sector.

We have already started to communicate with the leisure boating community at various working groups, meetings and events including the Southampton and London International Boat Shows. We are also in communication with representative bodies and societies such as the Royal Yachting Association, the Cruising Association and individual clubs.

e-Borders will be rolled out in the leisure boating sector from 2011. We actively seek to engage with and listen to members of the leisure boating community, and to ensure that the solutions and processes we implement are workable and secure. To make this possible, we need your input and we need to make use of your experience and knowledge so that e-Borders works for us and works for you.

In the meantime, please email us at ebct@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk if you have any queries or suggestions that would help us to secure our border.
