How do I sponsor a migrant worker?
Fee for assigning a certificate of sponsorship
This page explains the fee that you must pay when you assign a certificate of sponsorship under Tier 2 or Tier 5 of the points-based system.
You must assign a certificate to a migrant before they can apply to enter or remain in the UK. Even if the migrant does not use the certificate, you will pay the fee for assigning it. To ensure that you do not waste a certificate, you should check that the migrant is likely to apply and pass the points-based assessment. The Assessing migrants' points section contains more information to help you find out whether their application is likely to succeed.
