In order to obtain a passport in another country, you may need proof that you have not become a British citizen by registration or naturalisation in the UK. You can get this proof by applying to us for confirmation that you have not acquired British citizenship.
You should complete form NQ (PDF 94K opens in new window) and enclose the fee and payment slip from the fees leaflet (PDF 2.0M opens in new window). You must complete both parts of form NQ, and send the completed form, fee and payment slip to:
