How do I register as a British protected person?
This page explains the very limited circumstances in which it is possible to register as a British protected person.
For an explanation of British protected persons, see British protected person.
You may be able to register as a British protected person only if:
- you are, and always have been, stateless; and
- you were born outside the United Kingdom and the overseas territories; and
- at the time of your birth, your father or mother was a British protected person.
If you are unsure whether you are able to register, please contact us.
