Asylum support

If you have claimed asylum in the UK you will receive an ARC (asylum registration card). We update this in a reporting event so that if you receive support (section 55 or section 95), you can access payment at a specific post office. If you receive section 4 support, you may also have an ARC and must bring it to each reporting event, although access to your support payments is slightly different.

If you do not bring your ARC to your reporting event you may not be able to access your support.

We will ask you to provide an electronic fingerprint or photo identification to confirm the card belongs to you. With this confirmation, which usually takes only a few seconds, we can authorise your support payments.

These payments will cease if you do not attend.
